Dr. Villa received his dental degree from Tufts University School of Medicine, graduating Magna Cum Laude in 1983. He practiced general dentistry for eight years before receiving his post doctoral training as a specialist in orthodontics. He is a veteran of the U.S. Air Force. Prior to settling in Glen Allen, he was stationed at Bolling AFB in Washington, D.C. where he was Director of Orthodontics for Washington metropolitan area. As Director of Orthodontics, he was Chairman of the Dentofacial Deformity Board at Andrews AFB Regional Hospital, Regional Consultant in Orthodontics and the orthodontic instructor for general residents. He has extensive experience in early treatment orthodontics and dentofacial orthopedics as well as adult surgical orthodontics. He is a member of many professional organizations including the American Dental Association, the American Association of Orthodontics, the Southern Association of Orthodontists, and Richmond Dental Society. Dr Villa is board certified and a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics.
